  1. It is a good theory for kids, especially when they are young. That's why I've always liked the Montessori approach to preschool. It's all about a prepared environment and letting the kids explore it.
    I think this can be taken out of context though and people can use it as an excuse not to do anything with their children. Unschooling doesn't mean you don't have to teach them anything. They still need a rich environment. They will learn from what is around them whether it is good, bad, or heaven forbid, nothing at all.
